The 2025 Pacific Labour Mobility Annual Meeting (PLMAM) was held in Honiara from the 3rd to the 6th of November. The meeting was held under the theme of "Sustainable Reintegration Begins with Fair and Effective Recruitment", and brought together delegates from Pacific labour sending and receiving countries, including employers and stakeholders from Australia and New Zealand, as well as regional organisations. 

SI High Commissioner to NZ - His Excellency Ishmael Avui (MBE) - met with HORTNZ, RSE employers and agents who attended the PLMAM, as well as representatives of the SI Labour Mobility Unit, at the sidelines of PLMAM. 

His Excellency Avui spoke at the closing of the meeting, thanking the government of NZ, RSE Employers and Workers for the ongoing success of the scheme, and reiterated closer collaboration in order to grow the annual number of SI RSE workers onshore.
